Adinkra Symbol:  NYAME DUA - "tree of God" – altar

This is the symbol of God's presence and protection

The Nyame Dua is a sacred spot, altar, where rituals are performed.  Traditionally these altars are erected in front of the house or compound.  

However, we need not look outside of ourselves to perform rituals or set up an altar.  

We exist as one perpetual altar and ritual.
